I don’t need to tell you about the amazing last month that Troy Tulowitzki, Ryan Howard, and Ryan Braun had. You’ll draft them high no matter what. These players 3 players won’t be drafted so high. These players turned around a season and deserve a better look, come your next draft. (These stats are of the last 30 days.)
Michael Cuddyer(MIN, 1B/OF)- .311, 8 HR, 27 RBI, 17 R, 1 SB. He carried the Twins to their central division championship with Justin Morneau hurt. That’s a 45 HR 154 RBI pace. Don’t expect anywhere near that for next year, but he could easily get you 25-30 HR’s with around 100 RBI’s.
Rajai Davis(OAK, OF)- .321, 0 HR, 14 RBI, 18 R, 10 SB. That’s around 50 SB in a full playing time role. The only player who stole more bases in September/October was Jacoby Ellsbury with 11.
Billy Butler(KC, 1B/DH)- .327, 6 HR, 25 RBI, 18 R, 1 SB. That’s a 36 HR pace that he shouldn’t reach next year, but is capable of reaching down the road.
What do you think? Is there a player that had a better September that won’t be drafted high?
